For 2018 I decided on two specific goals:
- Read 365 picture books, averaging one per day. These will be new to me books, not re-reads.
- Twelve chapter books, averaging one per month. These will be new to me as well, not re-reads.
Right before the new year, a co-worker and I were looking at the books on the new shelf and I went a little crazy. So many cool books came out in 2017 and I want to read so many of them. In order to reach goal #2, I made a list of books to read in 2018, instead of a vague goal of reading 12 books.
The choice books, in no particular order:
- Spirit Hunters by Ellen Oh
- Better Off Undead by James Preller
Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones- Ahimsa by Supriya Kelkar
- We Are Party People by Leslie Margolis
- Furthermore by Tahereh Mafi
- The Whiz Mob and the Grenadine Kid by Colin Meloy
- The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
The Jane Austen Project by Kathleen Flynn- American Panda by Gloria Chao
- Religion for Atheists by Alain De Botton
- TBD
No, I have not read The Hate U Give. Bad librarian, but hey, I have a literal disease that is caused by stress. Cut me some slack.
