Work it

I'm seven weeks and one day postpartum and hit my five day workout goal yesterday. Thought that was worth recording for posterity.

Working on my fitness with a toddler and newborn is rough to say the least.  I'm doing long walks with the double stroller or postnatal bodyfit by Amy youtube workouts.  I'm pretty sore, but I can't wait to push myself harder. I did Betty Rocker's 30 day challenge when I was unknowingly newly pregnant and couldn't figure out why I was so bloated and hungry all the time, but otherwise got really good results in a month.

I have to be careful in the meantime because of my diastasis recti, it's about two finger widths.  I still look four months pregnant, but that's what you get having three babies in less than four years.

I'm taking a fairly loose approach, I workout when they nap at the same time. If it doesn't happen, oh well.  My intent is to manage five dedicated workouts and lose at least half a pound week.  Not too hard considering half of those workouts are packing the kids in the stroller and walking around the neighborhood, which Penelope loves and Calista couldn't care less about since she's a newborn.

So goal for the end of August is twenty workouts and at least two and a half pounds loss. Here we go.
